Trinity 125th Anniversary Cookbook ProjectThank you for your interest in Trinity Church's 125th Anniversary Cookbook Project! We have begun this project in the interest of creating an elegant and useful memento of Trinity's Anniversary year while bringing together the many talents of our communicants. As such, we hope to have it published and available for sale by the autumn of 2010!
If you would like to help in any way, we would be delighted to hear from you; please contact us at . Let us know if in particular you can help in any of the following areas: Recipe testing Book design and publishing Format and layout Typing and proofreading Artwork and/or photography Fundraising and event planning ArtworkWe are now seeking artists, illustrators, or photographers who may lend their talents to our finished book.We are in need of cover art, as well as artwork for other pages such as seasonal dividers, headers, or margin designs. While the design and layout of the actual recipe pages is being handled, we will need elegant artwork that reflects our parish and our church to create a complete package. It is unlikely we will be able to accommodate full-color images on anything other than the cover of the book, but we do still hope to achieve a memorable effect at every turn of the page. If you have an idea for a cover piece, or if you know you would like to help us illustrate the cookbook, please contact Cinda at 125thTrinityCookbook at gmail dot com to be involved in the initial planning. Your creative ideas are more than welcome. Recipe TestingWe are still in need of people who can test recipes in their own homes. Please email Sally Sanford to be included in recipe testing. You will receive forms to help us evaluate the recipe, both for the cook and for those who taste the finished meal, which you can then return to the church office or to one of the testing committee. You do NOT need to be a proficient cook to help us evaluate recipes! All skill levels are welcome and indeed, needed, make our recipes as clear and delicious as possible!FundraisingWe are in dire need of those who can assist Carroll Sandel, Sandy Folk and others in planning several terrific fundraising events. The Progressive Dinner is the first of these major events whose proceeds will benefit the cookbook; another event, a tour of spectacular kitchens, is being planned for the fall. If you are able to help us with thinking through event planning, we greatly need your talents. |
